"I cannot overstate the profound impact the Boren Scholarship has had on my life. When I was awarded, I knew that my dream of studying abroad for an extended period - something I would never have been able to financially achieve on my own - had come true. What I perhaps did not expect at the time was how much of my life today, both personal and professional, I would be able to trace back to my decision to apply for a Boren award years ago. Not only did it open academic and professional doors, but also was foundational in my becoming who I am today."
